Susanne Stern heads the area education and family at INFRAS. She is a specialist for family policy, integration policy, gender policy and educational policy with a particular focus on supplementary childcare. She has longstanding experience regarding socio-scientific research projects and evaluations.

She studied Geography and Sociology at the University of Zurich (CH) and at the Faculty SES of the University of Geneva (CH). Subsequently, she worked as an assistant at the Department of Geography at the University of Zurich. Alongside her work for INFRAS, she completed postgraduate studies in Gender Management at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Northwestern Switzerland. She is qualified in organisational development and human resources management.
