Susanne Stern is in charge of the Economy and Society business area alongside Thomas von Stokar. She is a specialist in family, education, gender equality and integration policies with a focus on financial support for childcare. She has many years of experience with social science research projects, process consulting and evaluations.

She studied geography and sociology at the University of Zurich and The Geneva School of Social Sciences. She then worked as an assistant in the Department of Geography at the University of Zurich. While working, she completed a postgraduate degree in gender management and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in change management, organisational consulting and organisational development at the Institute of Applied Psychology (IAP) at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
