Matthias Tischler works in the thematic areas of traffic and spatial planning with focus on aggregate traffic concepts and spatial development concepts.
He studied geography at the University of Vienna and at the Roma Tre University as well as regional planning and land use planning at the Technical University of Vienna and the University of Amsterdam. He worked as a student trainee in the research area of public finance and infrastructure policy at the Institute of Spatial Planning at the Technical University of Vienna. At the same time, he also completed several internships in the area of regional development, in urban planning, and in traffic planning. In his Master’s thesis, he studied the finalization of apartment construction and received the research prize of the Austrian Chamber of Consulting Engineers. Furthermore, he was involved as a young expert in the development of the Austrian spatial planning concept 2030.
