Roberto Bianchetti works in the thematic areas of traffic and environment as well as with traffic policy. The focus of his work lies in the areas of electromobility, alternative motor technology, scenarios and measures for sustainable mobility, as well as decarbonization of public transport. He has extensive experience in managing national and international projects for public agencies, electricity providers, public transport authorities, and private enterprises.
He studied environmental science and energy science and technology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. He was a project manager at EBP Switzerland from 2013 to 2019. There, he played an important role in (co-)developing the thematic area of electromobility, where he specialized in the market penetration of energy efficient vehicles and prognoses for charging infrastructure. He later worked at the Swiss Federal Office of Energy as the lead for the theme of e-mobility; he also managed the reply to postulate 19.3000 of the Swiss Federal Council.
