Martin Eichler works as an economics expert in the environment, climate, energy and economics business areas. He specialises in economic analyses and data-based modelling, industry, structural and site analyses, and regulatory impact analyses. He has wide-ranging experience in empirical analysis and modelling economic contexts, in quantitative and qualitative methods, and in leading national and international projects.
Before joining INFRAS, he worked at BAK Economics from 2001 to 2024, where he held the position of chief economist from 2013. There he led and worked on many different papers and studies, especially in the areas of economic activity, economic analyses, political and regulatory impact analyses, and growth and innovation analyses, as well as in advising national and international regions.
He studied economics with a focus on empirical economic research. He completed his studies at the University of Constance (becoming a qualified economist) as well as at the Universities of Western Ontario (London, Canada), Mannheim (Germany) and St. Gallen (HSG, Switzerland).
