SDC Swiss Development Cooperation entrusted the consortium INFRAS/Brandes Energie with the design of a capacity building project in the area of climate mitigation and adaptation as a contribution to climate resilient development of Indian cities. The process included the screening, pre-selection and visit of prospective Indian partner cities, the elaboration of the projet concept as well as the preparation and execution of a tender process for the implementation of the project during the first phase 2016-2019 on behalf SDC.

Fields of cooperation and intervention are buidings, energy, transports, Water supply/sewage and waste management systems, urban and spation planning. The contract for the implementation of the project has meanwhile been awarded to a Swiss/Indian consortium who launched its activities at the beginning of 2016.
