INFRAS has been doing research and consulting focused on sustainable development since 1976.

We aim for sustainable solutions for society, economy and ecology.

We are an independent company with offices situated in Zurich and Berne, Switzerland. INFRAS is fully owned by the management and the senior staff. 

Complex problems can only be solved by joined-up thinking. Therefore, we cover various areas of expertise.

Our 70 competent staff members work on future solutions by contributing their knowledge from the economic, social, engineering as well as the natural sciences. 

We focus on factual solutions which we elaborate for public administrations, institutions and private companies.

We deliver a consolidated basis for pragmatic decision-making regarding current societal, economical and ecological issues. 

We understand the political and economical processes of planning and decision-making. This enables us to build bridges between research, politics and the economy.

We think and act in a sustainable way, both externally and internally. That's why we also pay attention to ensuring that we feel comfortable and able to perform at work. Our efforts have been rewarded several times (Prix Balance Canton of Zurich, Zurich Prize for Health Promotion in the Workplace, ZKB Sustainability Award).

We think independently. We educate ourselves - and each other. That's why we organise internal training courses and issue lunches on current topics. 

We are constantly improving our services with our quality management (ISO9001/14001 certification). We strive to rapidly reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. We review our climate and environmental impact on an annual basis and publish an environmental report.
