Romina Weber is active in the areas of economics and society, with focus on regional development, health and environmental economics, and economic analysis.

She studied economics at the University of Bern with a minor in geography. In her Master’s thesis, she examined the differences in earnings between full- and part-time employees in Switzerland. During her studies, she completed a university internship at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) in the area of tourism policy, and worked as a scientific research assistant in various research and consulting projects at the Tourism Research Unit at the University of Bern.
