Jürg Heldstab

Jürg Heldstab primarily focuses on research and consultancy in the subject areas air quality control, climate change, transport, environmental impact, non-ionising radiation, waste management and waste water. As a Managing Partner he was member of the INFRAS Management from 2009 to 2015.

After his studies in Theoretical Physics in 1980 at the University of Basle (CH), he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Physics of the University of Basle and wrote his dissertation on chaotic systems. Thereafter, he completed postgraduate studies at the Eawag/ETH Zurich (CH) in Water Management and Water Protection. Parallel to that, he worked as a research associate for the programme "Circulation and Pollution of Air and Forest Damage in Switzerland" of the Swiss National Science Foundation. From 2001 to 2007, he taught mathematics as an extra-official subject teacher at the Engineering School Zurich (IT Service Engineers).
