Senior Project Manager

Gabrielle Siegrist is active in the thematic areas of environment, climate, and energy. Her focus is on projects in climate protection, climate adaption, and energy policy instruments in the areas of energy efficiency and decarbonization.

She studied environmental sciences at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) and worked at the University of Calgary in Canada on a project on the production of biogas from algae biomass for one year (Master’s thesis and then as research associate). She worked for six months at the Swiss Federal Gymnastics Festival between her bachelor and Master’s degrees, where she was responsible for sustainability reporting. Following an internship at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) in the area of national and international climate and energy policies, she accepted a position at the building department of the municipality of Muri bei Bern, Switzerland, for three years, as technical director of environment and energy office. She acquired occupational experience there in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate, and environment. During employment, she completed a certificate of advanced studies in climate strategies at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in 2021.
