Sophie Kaufmann is active in the thematic areas of environment, climate, and energy, with a focus on climate and environmental economics as well as national and international climate policy.

She studied Climate Sciences with special qualification in Economics at the University of Bern. In her master thesis she analyzed the stability of climate agreements when introducing a «Border Tax Adjustment». In her last position, Sophie Kaufmann worked as an intern in the areas of environment and climate at INFRAS. During her studies she already gained experience in project work and data analysis at BAK Economics AG, an economic research institute.
